#1 A grand day, my V5 has arrived

Post by ETTony » Fri May 26, 2017 7:18 pm

Nearly but not quite a year since I first got my car.
Except for the engine, I seem to have had most of the car apart.
Rewire, convert to RHD, brakes, clutch, alternator, radiator, IRS, fuel system, bearings, BJs and UJs, carb rebuild, new floor and on and on. All thoroughly enjoyable.
Out for a wee shake down this eve, successful as I drove back home too. :swerve:
Blinking voltmeter, showed me that the battery was not charging, my meter confirmed this, hmm. Connections seem tight. May need another new 4TR ?
Engine would not cleanly rev thro, at 2000rpm I got hesitation and backfire thro carbs. Fuel ? Will check the glass filter and then fuel pump, tank filter in the morn.
I am a very happy chappy,

:salute:

Thanks guys, my work list seems to be as long now as it was when I first started.
Onwards, dry roads ahead.
