#1 Vredestein W Rated Sprint Classic - Tyres!

Post by vr6-er » Mon Jul 24, 2017 6:01 pm

Hi all,

Thought I'd share this. 205 70 15 W rated Vredesteins for 188 each from Camskill. Was going to order them.

Any issues on a series 1 4.2?

I changed from Michelin 205/70-15 to Vred 185-15 and the car feels so much nicer to drive.
Some like the wider tyres others don't. Only my opinion if that helps

The trouble with the 185 Vreds is that they are H rated. I'm told my E will do 150!

H rated tyres are fine for all but the most spirited of motoring, and the problem with spirited motoring isn't your car's tyres , but the Feds and their in car ANPR and speed cameras.

Caution is needed anyone buying the vred 185's , 80 profile is required and these are 70 profile , that's apart from the rating issue .

edit -- vreds must be back in stock and have remade the 80 profile .

205s ruin the feel of the steering and even more seriously often foul on the front inner shields on full lock, the result of which when reversing is that the front of the car climbs the tyre with interesting consequences.
