Greetings:
The debate goes on and on about Webers, I know. However, getting past that my query is this: The intake manifold for the Webers has the thermostat apurture of a 4.2. The outlet for the thermostat bypass is therefore smaller in diameter than that of a 3.8, which is what I have. The port on the water pump is larger in diameter. Does anyone know if there is an adaptor, or will a 4.2 water pump work on a 3.8 block? Some might be temped to block off both ports. That has the potential for lots of trouble, therefore not an option I will consider. I didn’t see this topic in archives.
Thank you for your time.
Martin

Hi Martin,
I believe the water pump you're looking for is from a series 1.5, or early series 2.
The part number is C28129 and it has the 2-3/4" impeller along with the bypass adaptor that matches the tstat housing you'll be using.
Regards,
Doug
