Hi, has anybody used the Shuttle to get over the France with their E? I have a series III which can grate over a sharp speed-bump and it suddenly occurred to me that I might struggle to get it onto the train with the exhaust intact...

Any experience out there?

Used it loads of times with Series 1 cars with no problems.

Hi,
I did it several years ago in my series 1. No problems with ground clearance but the train did an emergency stop mid way. As luck would have it i was with the car and had to push hard against it to stop it pushing into the car in front. Usual e-type handbrake was u/s !

I have used Eurotunnel many times without a problem. They always put sports cars on the lower deck so no ramps involved (in the unlikely event they try putting you 'upstairs' simply say you would get stuck!). Getting on and off is simple and stress free unlike the Ferry.

One thing to watch in France is their underground parking in towns and cities as they invariably have a very sudden sharp incline from the surface road and I have graunched my exhaust a few times - go very slowly, possibly at an angle.
