I was thinking of rocking up somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00, so that'll place me at Cobham services at 8:30 to 9:00ish. I'm open to suggestions for amendments to these times if you want earlier or later. How about 8:45 as a starter for ten?

If it's anything like a Goodwood Breakfast Club won't we just sit in traffic if we go late? I was going to head over earlier, probably leave Dorking around 07.30 ish.

Not sure, Do it on-line. its easy to do, and you print out your own ticket.

I had been intending to pay at the gate (same cost as on line if only one of you) but I have changed my mind as the Bicester website suggests they might limit numbers.

Did you get my PM last Monday about a set of rear lenses, vertically split with reversing lights for my S3. If you have them perhaps I could collect them from you at Bicester?

I have a spare ticket you can have, as Simon is no longer coming

I can try and meet up with you guys as you circle the M25...I will join at junction 9, the A3 turning...if you are at Cobham at 8.00...you should be back on the road and passing junction 9 by say 8.30...?...or PM me your address and I will put it in the post tonight.....?

Dear Jonathan, Martin has offered me a ticket at the gate already. If there is more than one gate, then that'll be interesting! It may be more sensible for me to cycle round and pick one up from you - you are only a couple of miles away from me on the other dside of Guildford iirc?

Dear Chris (Vine) - I have made an indicator stalk ring for the s2 and I'll bring that with me along with your original.

I've been following this thread even though there is no chance that I would be able to join you. I really wish that I could be there. It sounds like you're going to have a great gathering and get to meet face-to-face for many of you for the first time. I hope that the weather isn't too cold and that at least the sun shines. Try to have fun without me!

The local DC Triumph club is holding their annual Britain on the Green car show that same day at Gunston Hall, the estate of one of our Founding Fathers ("Rebels" to my friends in England) and major influence/co-author of our Constitution, Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights. It's a fun gathering of all types of British metal including motorcycles with about 250 entries. Our weather report sounds better than yours: Mostly sunny, high temperature 74 F. My son, Scott, and I will take my E and Pete C. will meet us at my house and then tail gate us to Gunston on his Norton. It should be a great weekend for all of us on both sides of the Pond!

I actually thought of getting the Norton over there but it's neither registered nor running since import, so I'll be on the trusty Triumph.

The organisers said they want to encourage more Brit bikes and asked me to park on the concours field for free, not just enter the site free. They clearly didn't realise it (and I) would lower the tone several notches.

Since I am allergic to concours and disinclined to clean hard-used machinery, I will clip on the tank bag and strap a tent to the carrier across the panniers. With a bucket of extra grime thrown at everything, it'll make a convincing pose as Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman's backup bike. Not so much The Long Way Round, or The Long Way Down - more The Short Cut Home. If I play my cards right, I should get some money next time in return for a commitment never to show up again. :-)

Nearly 14,000 views on this topic, not bad for an initial idea for an event. I for one am very much looking forward to Sunday. I am already in Brum! Will be there bright and early on the day :) It will be nice to put faces to names, I've met a few of you but not too many. Makes the forum seem more personal and human then.

Ticket finally booked so I look forward to meeting at least some of you good folk on the day. Classic Oils have got a place at Bicester Heritage which may be useful to some but will have to check if they will be open - or does anyone know?

OK, 48 hours and counting. Seems weather going to be coldish, but my E type heater works, so no problem with that. PLEASE remember to print your tickets off ( I am sure you have all done this already!) and put in the car or wallet. I don't think there will be too much trouble about getting in , but handy if one has not left the tickets home in Kent (note 2 self) .
I hope to be on my way and up there for about 8.30 am, but if I am late please forgive me and I hope to catch up with you all during the day. Anyone a good photographer? I have all the gear but no idea, so it would be great to load up some photos of our day on the forum if anyone fancies taking a shot at it??
