Hi all,
Does anyone know the thread size of the 12 screws holding the chrome surround that holds the headlamp cowls on a S1 FHC? P/N is BD22780/4. I have the screws but need to buy a tap to clear the threads.
Thanks.

As it happens, this was the 'standard' thread and pitch of Meccano screws.

Umm, I don't know what to say at this point! I posted the same question in November 2009 and Dave Rawle was kind enough to reply with the info as per my previous note.
I purchased the tap size mentioned by Dave and cleaned out the threads and all is well. My car is a 66 model.
Maybe things change, others may be able to help
Regards

A number 8 screw is 5/32"
So your number 8-32 tap will do the same job as my 5/32" x 32 tap.
I knew there was an answer somewhere.
