Morning All

Might anyone have any interesting background information on the above car? It will be in an RM Sotheby's auction soon, and they would like to source info and photos. They say:

We’ve got a very interesting E-Type coming to our Villa Erba auction. The car in question is a 3.8-litre Roadster from 1961 (chassis no. 875807) that was raced in Portugal and Angola in period. We’re trying to drum up as much information on the car as possible and are particularly interested in finding photographs of the car racing in period. I was wondering if you might have anything on the car in terms of photographs or additional racing results?

Nova Lisboa (now Huambo) in Angola:


According to Philip Porter only three OTS's were exported to Angola and by the late 1960s the city of Nova Lisboa had become renowned for its International Nova Lisboa 6 Hours sports car race.

Could that be the car? LHD OTS, red with black interior. I guess the black racing stripe was added by the then owner.
