This is part no C18282, folded aluminium sheet that fixes between bonnet hinge tube and rad bottom brackets to channel airflow through the rad. Supplied by SNGB in raw aluminium. Should it be painted black as per the various mudshields or perhaps lacquered to prevent oxidation?

Hmm. Do you think that was factory finish or just sensible protection applied later? After all bare aluminium in that exposed position would start looking pretty rough before long wouldn't it?
