Garage surveillance cameras: Netatmo

Hi guys,

After a few years of searching I finally found a system which does at least most of what I want: a camera, full hd, night / day, infrared, which does NOT cost an arm and a leg a month (in fact its zero), and which does call my phone + send me a livestream.

It can distinguish cars, animals (think of neighbours darn cat and your fear for your E at 3 in the morning), people (there they are !), and miscelleanous.

It‘s the netatmo presence (not the welcome),and I just bought one, new unused under 180 E. It needs a router / wlan, so that is a bit of a problem, but as long as you hide it all, hide the ssid of the wlan, it should be fine, because no one expects it in a shed.

It comes as a very bright led light, so it can automatically switch itself on, so they know you see them. Has some other features as well. Or leave it dark, hear them (it transfers livestream).

It also stores the films locally on an SD card, and does send them to your dropbox, if you want a cost-free remote storage.

Another issue is that if someone cuts the shed‘s power line, its all gone. Except you installed a mini UPS for another hour of magic.

They plan to sell a compatible smoke detector as well, which I will buy of course, so it calls me when it sees smoke in my shed.

Did you purchase from a store in Germany?
