#1 Steering Wheels

Post by Heuer » Fri Feb 05, 2010 6:16 pm

The E-type was fitted with four different steering wheels in its production life - the round rim Coventry Timber Bending Co Ltd wheel on the very early cars, the grooved polished spoke 'Moto-Lita' type on the remaining S1's, the brushed alloy spoke wood rim on the S2's and the leather covered wheel on the S3's. This did not stop owners fitting their own preferred make though and I thought I would list the different makes I remember being available in the 60's. The task was more daunting than I first thought but eventually I found a site that had meticulously photographed and cataloged them albeit for the Mini.

Better job than I could do so have a look at this lot: http://tinyurl.com/yzfgsj8
