I want to check the head bolt torques on my 1969 XKE. About the only thing I have found is that 54 is called for on early 4.2 whereas 58 is the number for late 4.2 liter engines.
How do I know if I have an early versus late engine?
Thanks

Where did you get the 58 figure from.....im sure i read in the service bullitins that later 4.2 changed to 50( i made a note of it for my 69 S2...you would have to look in the service manual for the basic setting then at the service bulletins (knowledge base section of the forum) for changes....Steve
