Hi...probably clutch adjustment....refer to the service manual and adjust the clutch slave cylinder pushrod...Steve

Hi Jeff and welcome to the forum!

Tell us more about your car, is this a new problem whilst driving regularly, or after having work done on the car? I second Steve‘s assessment and would first check clutch hydraulics and setting of the slave cylinder.

Many reasons, worn out release bearing is one of them.

so l have been told it's a gearbox issue, does this mean I will also have to take out the engine?

Hi ..I see you have another post on the clutch pedal issue....first thing to do is inspect inside the bellhousing...use a boroscope..small camera to look inside to check whats happening with the clutch....Engine will need to be removed to replace clutch or remove tbe gearbox...Steve
