Clutch Slave pin clip

Hi All......im after a slide spring clip thats on the clutch slave pin....as in the photo (not mine).....not available from the usual suppliers...part number C27328 5Z........the 5z donates the size of the clip......new metric sizes are available but not a good fit.....new are also available in imperial sizes but i cant find one for the 7/16in pin...anyone know of a supplier....or have you used something similar.....thanks...Steve

Morning Steve,
I see that no-one has been able to help re. your slave pin problem. I can help out as I am fortunate to have a lathe and milling machine. If you can send me a dimensioned drawing of the part that you need I will make one for you (free of charge of course). It is essential that the drawing is accurate, so please take care in preparing it. My main hobby is making small four stroke petrol/glow engines for model aircraft use, so I'm quite competent at making accurate small parts to drawings, so your pin would be simple, cheers John in sunny Devon.

I doubt you can make a spring clip on a lathe and a mill.

Hi John.....Thanks for the offer......currently waiting for a clip to arrive that fits a 10mm pin which is slightly smaller than the original....will then turn down the end of the pin to suit.......Steve

Just an update....standard widely available 10mm clip arrived.....pin grove and end just turned down a bit...works well

Yes, bonkers use of the clip in the picture anyway (not yours) as the spring was never intended to be attached to it surely ?

Pin is in wrong way round, the spring should hook over the turret on the other end.

Just thought I'd point this out in case anyone might think it was normal.

According to the parts catalogue there should be:

1. Pivot pin, securing adjuster to Clutch operating Fork
2. Split Pin, securing pivot pin
3. Washer, Plain, behind split pin
4. Washer, Double Coil Spring, behind Plain Washer

The spring goes around the pivot pin (turret end as Rory says):

The fun part is getting the split pin though the pivot pin hole whilst working blind!

Probably why they changed to the spring safety clip on later versions as seen in Steve's picture which is much easier to fit or remove "blind" . As I understand the difficulty now is getting a 7/16 safety clip if you lose or break the original.

Yes, the S2 cars had part C29803 which is the one in Steve's photo. The S1 cars had the simple style pivot pin.
