Hi all
Does anyone know if the long thin panel that sits under the radiator and goes from one side of the car to the other is available as a separate part?
If I look at the sng site its listed as part of the front bonnet mounting frame and looks like it has part number 11
However in the listing of parts 11 is the reaction plate
Could just be my eyes however
I think its a separate panel
Mine is all mangled and a bit rusty so I would like to replace it
Many thanks for any replies
Joe

Thanks Steve
I will call them later
Its the long panel you can see on the sng site seen in the front subframe section which looks like it has number 11 attached to it but now I look closely i think its some clamps that attach it to the front subframe that just looks like number 11
Its series 2 2+2
Just coming to the end of my mechanical rebuild
Hopefully will be back on the road this week

Hi Joe,
It is not a replacement panel; it is brazed on and is part of the bonnet support frame, but as others have said, it may be available from Hutsons or maybe Martin Robey.
I doubt they would sell it as a separate panel, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

Mine was in a poor state, but I managed to repair it, perhaps yours could be repaired too.

Thanks Paul
Yes I was thinking I may be able to repair it
But after looking I don't think it can be taken of the frame
Its in poor shape as I think someone must have hit something that was sticking up or tried to jack it up on it or something
Its also no longer brazed to the rest of the frame
I suppose I could cut it off and try and restore it and then weld it back on
