Not E-type but did anyone see the XK150S DHC featured in the Daily Mail -heavily crashed been like that for 25 years or so - made £90K at auction. Guide price £10k I believe.

The cynic in me makes me sometimes wonder whether these "prices" are put up jobs intended to gain publicity for future sales . After all, there is nothing ( really ) illegal about such a stunt as long as bids are not taken from bona fide purchasers
