#1 Hatch pull escutcheon

I cannot fit a new SNG escutcheon over the hatch pull lever. Is this a common problem or is it just a bad part?

An original escutcheon is very difficult to remove and refit.....it only comes off one way...and must go back on the same way.....i think you will have to lift the lever and fit the ecutcheon.....it takes patience.....Steve

Thanks Steve, the escutcheon was missing on my car so I couldn't see how it comes off, but I did eventually manage to persuade it over the lever without damage, don't know if I could do it again.
