Hi
I need to replace the ignition switch on my LHD Series 2 2+2.
The ignition light terminal is loose and just turning in the switch body when I try to undo the nut. The switch body is sealed so I cannot get in to repair it
I contacted SNG for a new one and they tell me that the switch as fitted is not the right one despite the switch fitting correctly to the bracket, the right number of terminals all marked correctly, the switch being marked US1 (it is a US Spec car with air con) the terminals being marked BAT for battery, IGN for ignition, ACC for air con.
The switch that they offer is not the same and the terminals are spade fittings not threaded and fastened with nuts and looks as if it will not fit to the bracket.
I can add some photos to see if any of you can help.
Any help appreciated
Nick

#2 Re: Series 2 Ignition Switch
Hi Nick...I think photos would help. It certainly doesn't sound like my switch, but mine is a fairly early S2 RHD.
