Who lived here?……

Hi all,

We are away on a little driving holiday and it appears the town we are staying in had a rather famous Jaguar resident.

It also appears that the house is up for sale. No prizes, but anyone fancy a guess as to who lived, and died here?

Well the estate agent is in Church Stratton and wasn’t that the town Norman lived in in later years?

Damn! You’re too good Geoff, quite correct.

We didn’t even realise this until we got chatting to a guy in a local pub who knew him well.

So yes, it’s Norman Dewis’ house in Church Stretton and still up for sale. I think he moved here in the ‘80’s with his wife. He is buried across the road in the village cemetary along with his wife. We visited and paid our respects.
