Hi all, thanks for the addition.
I have owned an E type but years ago. It was a 1965 FHC and I paid the princely sum of £385 for it!
So fast forward some 42 years and here I am of course, wanting another….
I used to work on them years ago, for a Jaguar specialist and know my way around them fairly well. I have almost always had a classic car, lots of jaguars over the years, S type, MK2, 420, most recently a rather smart MK2, which I passed on to buy my dream car of many years, a very solid original Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow 1973.
I am now looking for another E type, the ‘wish list’ is fairly negotiable, but ideally I’d like a 3.8 or 4.2 series one FHC. Colour would ideally be ODG or BRG with red leather.
Whilst I’m looking I will be lurking on here looking to pick up hints and tips!

Steve, welcome to the best place for all things E Type. Lots of friendly help and advice. You may need to be prepared to pay a little bit more than £385 this time, though prices have eased quite a bit from their peak a year or three back. Lurk away, ask questions, put a wanted add in the for sale/wanted section. You never know what might turn up. Good luck
Geoff
