Strange One For You!!
#1 Strange One For You!!
I have a problem with the radiator cooling fans, When you open and close the bonnet it stops the fans and eventually blows the 40amp fuse that I have wired direct to the battery. I have a temporary switch wired up to the otter switch, when pressed it simulates the operation of the otter switch. If you leave the bonnet up the fans run continuously, if you have a smaller fuse in place it blows as soon as the catch touches. With the 40amp fuse it turns the fans off a couple of times and then eventually blows the fuse. The fans are new along with the relay and the otter switch.Has anyone ever experienced this?

You obviously have a wiring problem. Sounds like your new wiring is getting trapped when you close the bonnet.
Carefully check all your joints and make sure there are no loose strands.
You say the fuse blows when the catch engages, presumably the bonnet catch?
