#1 BD20893, WHICH WAY ROUND??

Post by Stevemorris » Tue Aug 18, 2026 10:59 am

Hi all,

I have come to the front bumpers...

The previous owner had began the process of alining the front bumpers, but (sadly for me!) didn't get them finished before I bought the car from him...

I have removed them completely as there was a bit of a mis-match of bolts/washers/rubber pads fitted so I thought best thing to do was remove them and start from scratch.

It is a very well spoken about subject here, and I have found lots of posts around this subject which were all very useful. I have discovered the parts I need are missing, namely BD 20893, Bumper spacer round, and BD20663U Front bumper spacer.

I did find in one of the posts that BD20893 fits at the back of the front bumper, under the sidelight/repeater lamp, and that BD20663U fits at the front mounting point closest to the mouth of the bonnet.

Now I get how BD20663U fits, and why its the shape it is, to fit the contours of the bonnet, but I can't see how BD20893 fits and cannot seem to find any decent images in the posts that shows how?

My bonnet just has holes for all 4 front bumper mounting points, no captive nuts on brackets as I have seen on some?

Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks, Steve.

Thanks Steve, dont know why but I always forget about that forum!

I just knocked up a spacer BD20893, but not sure the dimensions are correct, for reference the centre hole is 3/8".

Does anyone have the dimensions??

Thanks, Steve.
