#1 1961 Flatbottom E-type Coupe

Post by Jonster » Mon Jun 06, 2011 6:47 am

Good morning,

I live on Crete but my friend and I own a 1962 coupe which is stored near Aberdeen, Scotland. We bought the car 7 years ago in Florida - it's LHD - and had been 95% restored.

We'd planned to add the finishing touches but as always life got in the way i.e. I ended up living on Crete - which is not a bad thing, just hard to do anything re the E-type.

The engine has a miss and we've taken the car to several local mechanics but none of them have the skill, knowledge, inclination to work on a 50 year old Jag engine.

Does anyone know or can they recommend a mechanic / garage / restorer in Scotland who has the skills / experience to work on E-types?

Thanks,

Jon
