Series 1 Brake disc dust shield

Does anyone know what is the original colour of the dust shields, please? On my S1 1965 they are black and badly painted.

looking in my box of spares - mine are zinc plated - a yellowish finish. But the originals were probably cadmium plated which is more of a flat silver.

I could be wrong....

Can I just advise caution. I started off by replacing these shields - ended up with a full front suspension rebuild. Bad case of shipwrights - torsion bars off, reaction plate out, all bushes, bearings etc!!!!
