Running the engine up today I am aware that through one thousand to two thousand rpm the engine checks momentarily at least two times , and when driving, the tach drops down to zero, engine checks then picks up again...under hard acceleration, the check is more noticeable, as if the ignition or power supply has been cut for a split second...beyond two thousand the revs climb without interruption, but with a noticeable lack of power ....opened the plug gaps to 35 thou yesterday after checking all connections and replacing a few bits and pieces....the same symptons were there though before this when bringing up the revs slowly in neutral with the tacho dropping down then up again....
