#1 Series 2 lightweight gearknob

Post by Revolve2015 » Thu Jul 16, 2015 5:41 pm

Hi all I'm after a bit of information if anyone can help? I've been asked to reproduce a solid aluminium gearknob close to the original design of the series two lightweight edition, does anyone know what thread type is on the gearstick? I'm thinking its most likely a 5/16 BSF but not sure. Also if anyone has a good image of an original one I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Dave

There was never an official S2 LWE - all 12 were based on the early S1. Some photos here: viewtopic.php?t=7464

As for the thread just check a standard E-Type knob, should be the same.
