Has anyone used the plastic reproduction tunnel cover you can buy ? if so , whats the fit like , as Im thinking about using one in place of my original metal one as it will be another potential weight saving , cheers for any ideas

That'll be a fibreglass tunnel cover. My limited experience of these is that the basic overall shape is good, but they may not fit well at the front. In this case, simply break them along the front to top seam and reglue them together.

The advantage of fibreglass is that is easy to work with, so you can cut yourself a clutch slave access hatch into the side of the unit. This will make bleeding or rebleeding the clutch a simple one man in-car job.

kind regards
Marek
