Hi, yesterday I wanted to install a new oil filter however the oil filter I got from SNG Barratt was smaller than the one on the car. After some searching on the internet it seems I have a larger filter and bowl/cannister. Is this correct for a late series 2 car?
One other question, where should I put the spring clip on the bolt? At the end or somewhere else? It is not very clear (yet) to me what it's function is...

Correct for S2. The clip goes on after you have installed the rod in the cannister (rubber washer on top) and parts 3, 4, 5 and 6.
