Hi all,
I'm working on the XJS engine I will use on my e type.
I would like to have feedbacks from others who have use the same solution on their car.
I've a lot of questions without answers.
Thank you all.
Michel

I've got a few answers without questions. Maybe you should ask some?MLBS3V12 wrote:Hi all, I've a lot of questions without answers.

Dear Michel,
Why don't you stick it on the forum and let everyone else benefit from the advice. For what it's worth, I am running an HE motor in my car and if you search on the jag-lovers.org site, you'll see plenty of answers (and pictures) to the questions you haven't posed.
kind regards
Marek

Hi Marek,
thanks for your remarks.
I'm going first to look at the jag-lovers.org site as you propose.
Am I right saying that you have chosen Megasquirt to manage your engine instead of the Jag ECU?
Cheers
Michel

Yes, it's a MS3/3X, wasted spark and with four extra injector drivers to make up the full sequential twelve. The jag-lovers.org photos are a little out of date and only show a slightly outdated setup.
The principal changes are that the 36 minus 1 trigger wheel is cut into the crank pulley feeding a single VR sensor, the cam sensor is replaced with a Ford sensor, it has twin idle valves and a new custom built peak and hold driver box in the passenger footwell.
Other than that, the pictures should be a good guide.
See also pictures of Philip Lochner's etype (since sold) on the same site.
This is a batch fired MS2extra running twin 6cylinder EDIS units via a custom built box to fire the second six spark plugs 60' after the first.
kind regards
Marek
