wiper parking, am I missing something ?

Lads,

to successfully fit new heater pipes and screen wash jets, I removed the wiper mechanism.
I already had the wiper motor off to change its direction.

with the wiper array on my bench I see that the arm for the parking cut out is insulated.

However that arm and the other arm behind it (connected to the central wiper arm collar)
have a hole and a slot, is there some electrical fitting missing, as this would complete a circit with the red wire ?
I have had a sweep with my magnet, nothing found.

Your car should have a wiper parking adjuster that connects to them arms. It may have come loose and look at your bulkhead under the heater valve for a knurled nut, that is the other end of it. It needs reconnecting to your rack when you put the rack back in the car.
