Hi all. Lots of good tips!. Not had cause to remove mine as yet but the time will come.

Incidentally Tim...I see you are in Leighton Buzzard.....I am near Hemel!

I see that I’ve posted before on but now I’m on a different car and am faced with the same decision on which inlet manifold gasket to use.
I’ve spoken to Rob Beere who could be relied on to know his stuff !

The recommendation was the cometic gasket without any sealer.
Just make sure that the surfaces are flat and square. The head has been done by CMES and I’ve going to have the manifold checked out.

Will respond with how I get on but it will be a few weeks ( it’s bloody cold in the garage ! )
Series 1 FHC purchased 50 years ago. Courted my wife in it.
Series 1 2+2 when the kids were small now sold.
Series 1.5 OTS in opalescent maroon, Californian car. My retirement present.
