My car came with boxes and boxes of bits and pieces. Many pieces I've been able to identify as belonging to my car, but some I definitely now know belong elsewhere. Can anybody tell me if this pipe belongs to my car? Perhaps part of a breather system??
Thanks in advance
Andy

I could be wrong, but this looks to me like a pipe which goes between the crankcase breather at the front of the cylinder head, and the inner face of the air trumpets. I think on the S2 ( unlike the earlier cars which had a corrugated pipe ) this had short rubber hoses at either end

Yes. Fully concur with Christopher. It looks like the crank case breather pipe (C.28247 or C.28710 for US & Canada). It indeed does have 2 short rubber hoses (C.25263) & at either end as Christopher correctly remembers.

Hi Christopher Hi Mark
You're absolutely right. I'd found a diagram on SNGB, but the pipe illustrated looks nothing like this item. It's only when you expand the item that all becomes clear. Having wasted some time polishing pieces of chrome that I subsequently discovered were nothing to do with my car, I didn't want to clean and repaint something belonging to a MK 10 or an S Type!
Thanks
Andy
