Does anyone know where i can get some of this aluminium hose form that is being used in the photo below?

I have looked all over the internet but i just can seem to find any the diameter.

Im going to make a vintage style breather can so i want some for the diameter.

What does your breather hose go in to?

Mine goes from the special CMC dual breather casting and both hoses vent the road via.the under-tray. Ideally and responsibly you should vent to a catcher tank as shown in your photo - big ally cylinder. The tanks are available from places like Rob Beers or maybe Demon Tweaks.

As above...mine just vents under the car....but im doing a new build and will vent to a catch tank..Steve

Have you seen a style of catch can that you like? most of the ones i have seen are cheep looking Chinese red n blue looking things.

Just search on ebay..... for aluminium oil catch tank......plenty there.. or look at car builder solutions .. Steve

Hi All,
I have fitted a Mann+Hummell Provent 200 Catchcan/Separator Kit to my Series 1 4.2 2+2. These are around the AUD$300:00 mark down here, and provide what I consider to be a most satisfactory solution to the venting problem. The unit separates the oil from the vent fumes, and incorporates a (periodic) drain tap, "Dried" gases I then directed to the inlet manifold. Internal filter/separator elements in the Provent unit are replaceable. For various connections (front breather plus I have extra breathers to cam covers.......) I used the aluminium mini-concertina breather hose that SNG list for the XK series cars (C2485/1).
I trust this may assist any Forum members looking for a responsible solution.......

Im sure you system works really good but i am looking for a catch can that is more period correct.

I have lots of photos of catch cans from C-Types,D-Types and E-Types Lightweights so i think i am going to fabricate my own.

I do not understand use of quote. I was under the impression that is how you reply to someone.

Hi Lee...you last post is fine...nothing quoted.....also worth trying to put your name and car model in the signature area......use quotes when you think its needed....but you dont need to quote the whole post,..all the best.. Steve

You normally use the quote function if you are answering a post that is on a different page or many posts earlier. It could also be used if you want to answer a specific question embedded in a long post but to do that you use the quote function and then edit out all the text that is not required.

Is the breather hose also available by the metre? Would be convenient for more frequent replacement, sinde it gets dented quite easily.
