Anyone started to use their e-types yet?

Took mine out Saturday, wolverhampton to bridgenorth I could only park safely on Aldi so Mrs E type went shopping in their, and I finished doing a 50 mile loop,all went well,.....so that's why you were happy to go to aldi she said! .

I had to fix a few things before taking the old girl out at the weekend - the modified handbrake needed re-adjusting so that it actually held the car on a slope. Its now back to 3 clicks to fully on and of course the clutch slave cylinder chose this weekend to liberally leak. Luckily I had a Jaguar spare on my shelf.

I think I get through a slave cylinder ever couple of years...

Try being here in Bristol, they're an absolute nightmare

Cutting in front of pedestrians, going for gaps in crowds that really don't exist, generally being rude or riding at you on the pavement. As Martin Brundle would say, "he's driving into a disappearing wedge" and it only ends badly. You regularly feel them brush your arm as they swoop by and you're always thankful you didn't stumble at that particular moment.

I'll bring my bike down in the spring, and I will be a lot more courteous than they are!

Back onto topic - I haven't had a chance to have a run out in Richard's FHC yet, but my Dad got our Mazda out the other day and did 50 lovely sunny miles in the Peak District. He did see the odd classic, including a S2 FHC which belongs to a Club member in Sheffield.

The last piece of the jigsaw puzzle is ready, a re-cored radiator. Collecting it today. Rack has been reassembled with a new passenger side bush installed. Nice smooth action, lots of clean grease inside. Header tank and mount are repainted. New hoses and clamps. Now I need to clean and re plate all the fasteners. Many are quite rusty. New wire wheel brushes have been ordered, many hours of patient fiddling ahead. Give me two or three weeks and the car will be ready for its first drive of 2019.

Been out and about a lot this year already with the lovely weather. Nice run down to Goodwood last weekend as well.

Some night time driving in mine the other night. A new clutch has been fitted by coopercraft, it had a 3.8 clutch in it for some reason apparently.

The trouble with Easter having fine weather is that it brings the rellies put in droves. Had visitations all weekend. Now I get the chance to play with my car, just before the weather turns. And just before I take it for its MOT.
