#1 under-bonnet/bulkhead pics 1967 S1 2+2
I am restoring 1967 S1 2+2, and need some layout photos of under the bonnet/bulkhead/firewall re component positioning/pipe and wiring runs, etc, etc. Car was purchased totally dismantled by a couple of overly optimistic previous owners, all in boxes....additionally, I am converting it from LHD to RHD. I do have all the appropriate Jaguar parts list and workshop manuals, but some good photographs would also be most helpful. Would need to be RHD and manual of about the same period, (it was built in January 1967.....) Or perhaps if any members could point me at any links to pics of the same.....? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated....living specimens I have been unable to find, here in Western Australia......

Hi there Pete/Paul/Paul,
Many thanks for your prompt responses, much appreciated.....Firstly Pete, yes, I had already been on the photobank at xkedata, most of the underbonnet pics concentrate on shiny rebuilt engines (and some very nice too....) but what I'm looking for mostly ( and in reply to the 2 x Pauls kind responses ), is pics of the various assemblies on the bulkhead (firewall...?) behind the engine, looking back to this area from the front of the car, so to speak......Some close-ups photos of this area, or diagrams or whatever, would be of great assistance, showing positions of components on the bulkhead, piping runs, wiring harness routing,. etc, etc. Pipe runs to front brakes as well, steering column set-up, etc, etc. I'm starting from absolute square one, I have a bodyshell on 4 wheels, and it was a LHD.......I am in the process of ordering all the LHD to RHD conversion parts from the UK at the moment, , and have not much else except hundreds of unlabelled bits in boxes..!! So as you can see, I need all the help I can get..........! So don't assume anything is too basic or obvious, everything will help......again many thanks in anticipation, brilliant forum, fantastic Club, all the best from West Oz.........
Norman.

Can't help with the bulkhead photo but here is the Hutson's LHD/RHD conversion kit:

Don't think you need to get too hung up on a 2+2 bulkhead, any S1 4.2 picture will do as the differences are from the bulkhead backwards. I am fairly certain Angus (1954etype) will have some of those given he has rebuilt four of them!

Let me know if you need any pictures. Am in India until Friday so won't be able to send any until then. As David says, the bulkheads are pretty much the same on the 67 cars (no vac pipes running outside the bulkhead).Heuer wrote:Can't help with the bulkhead photo but here is the Hutson's LHD/RHD conversion kit:

Norman,,
Not sure if you are in the E Type Club but their magazine have been running a comprehensive article on the left to right hand conversion.

Hi All
Re: 1967 series 1 2+2 RHD, or any 4.2 RHD from that era.
I know this is an older post but would also like some bulkhead / firewall pics looking from the front of the car, preferably without the engine for harness exit points and brake line runs. Any photos , any original condition would be a great help. Many thanks if you can help.
