Hi I have recently bought a 1974 S3 V12 Roadster, which was imported from the US, as a retirement project. The body is sound but it needs quite a lot of mechanical work. It has lots of piping for the emission control system and an air pump, which is seized solid. Can I remove the air pump and piping or does it need to stay? I would be grateful for some advice from someone who knows. Thanks David

David, you're on the best place for advice and help for everything E Type.
It's good to introduce yourself and show a photo or two of your car then get down to brass tacks and fire away with questions.
You may even find it useful to have a knowledgeable person drop by to have a look over your car. BEWARE just going to any self-claimed classic car specialists, the E Type has its own specific details, especially on the monocoque cockpit and how to go about work there if needed.
Look in the knowledge base for useful info, BUT it is important to buy your own copies of the proper maintenance manuals. Use the knowledge data to download a few pages to print to have at hand in the garage. And all the books are listed there.
Not having an S3 I can't comment about your specific question but welcome to the forum and good luck with your project
Geoff
