Asking for a friend who has a business building high class rally cars, but is currently restoring a V12 e-type for a customer for show purposes. He rang me as I have a 1973 S3 FHC.
They are looking for an used ignition box (I think it may be called ignition amplifier). It's the rectangular component approximately 70mm x 50mm x 40mm with distinct cooling fins on it, and a series of wires coming out. He thinks the part nr may be Lucas 47012H - Ab3 ignition pack.
As it is for a show car, it does not need to be in working order - so I am sure someone here will have an old one under the bench. Even though he says a non-working one would suffice, they are still happy to pay a reasonable price for it.
Unfortunately, my lack of mechanical expertise mirrors my lack of computer skills. I do have a photo, but cannot find a way of posting it here. If you think you may have one, please drop me an email to rylandjms@aol.com and I will email the pic to you.
Thanks and stay safe all.
