Hi and welcome
Beautiful looking car and if xkedata is to be believed, it’s an early chassis number.
Value will depend on condition, history and its level of ‘originality’. Does it have the block, head, gearbox that it left the factory with? Having the ‘magic’ matching numbers will often get you more money than one that doesn’t.
If it is original rhd, it will likely be valued higher than a lhd in the UK. Technically, it’s a Series 1 Flat Floor as opposed to Mk1 Flat bottom if you are going to advertise it!
My suggestion is take it to a respected restoration/dealer outfit and get them to evaluate it for you. There are a few on the forum who I’m sure would be happy to take a look once lockdown allows.
You have a potentially very valuable car, so don’t rush into anything!

Littlejay, that’s a good registration to have, reminiscent of a particularly famous E Type.
Give Angus Moss a call (1954etype on this forum, a moderator) https://www.mossjaguar.com/index.html, a very honest fellow with vast experience. He can assess the car and either agree to sell it for you or advise on a good way to go, including giving you a really accurate description of the car when it comes to advertising it.

Totally agree. This opportunity may never come again. Even if you want to sell it, drive it for a while and enjoy it first. Life is short - the most valuable asset in the world is time - it’s the only thing money cannot buy you more of :)

Well' I'm not quite sure how size crept into this discussion, but I am ( or was ) 6 feet exactly, size 9 shoe, and had no difficulty fitting into either of mine, although in each case I have to get in head first !

Flat floor OTS - no room for big feet and any taller than 5'8" and your eyes will be above the edge of the windscreen. Tilting your head to one side works ... for a while

It was designed and built around Norman Dewis!
