I've seen this beading fitted in several different ways. I'm pretty certain that it sits between the chrome finishers and the sugar scoop, not between the sugar scoop and the bonnet as I have seen. Is that correct? The length of rubber beading that I have has a raised lip along one edge, and I'm pretty certain this lip sits on the inside edge of the chrome finishers. Is that correct?
Thanks as ever.
Andy

Hi Andy,
Have you had a look here. I've not done mine yet so will be interested to see how you get on. It seems getting the rubber to sit nicely is the hard part.

#3 Re: Sugar scoop rubber beading
Hi Simon
Thanks for the link. I realised yesterday that I was looking at a different beading section from one of my boxes of bits, and now I've found the correct section it's obvious how it's installed. I've got as far as punching the holes in the beading. I did try a trial fit putting one rivet in loosely with one washer under the head to try to gauge if I need 2 washers as others have which was a bit inconclusive. I'll probably install one rivet with one washer on a piece of tin away from the car and see how this works. Or, I may just sit in the garden! I'll let you know how I get on.
