Seat rail availability or seat options for 63 Coupe

I’ve been going through all the parts supplied with the new project. From the beginning I was aware the the original 3.8 buckets were missing, but a pair of later 4.2 seats were supplied.(along with new foams, and full covers) The rail mechanism was quite different to my S2 so I’m fairly sure the seats are actually from a S1 XJ6.
I’d like to use these seats as all the necessary upholstery has come with the car. Does anyone know if the correct runners are available ?
Any other options ?

Hi, that makes sense. The old chap was pretty sure they were E Type....I hadn’t thought S3. Obviously the floor is different and there is no crossmember in the way. Still wondering if there is some way of making these work?

The best option is to sell these seats, then either get originals or MX5.
I have a pair of originals, let me know if of interest.

That’s good to know. Not available through other suppliers I noticed. Series 1 set would be best and I may need to modify the bases to suit. All good fun. Cheers. Alan.

3.8 seats are also available at SNG in both roadster and coupe style and are not terribly expensive.
