#1 Header tank

Hi I am building an S1 4.2 RHD E type . Can you tell me what style header /expansion tank it should have . It came with the bulkhead (Near pedals) type but it had a cap with no pressure release spring . So do I need both very strange to me .

Hi...it really would help you if you want detailed answers to put your name and car model/year in the signature area.....S1 generally had a header tank on top of the radiator...the type you have was used on some whats called S1.5 cars and S2 cars.....with this type the radiator has a blank cap and the expansion bottle should have a pressures cap......so what is your car chassis number...is it a S1 or 1.5......The Jaguar parts catalogue will give details of parts/chassis numbers...also http://www.xkedata.com/ you can look up cars either side of your chassis number and find plenty of detailed photos ............
