New purchase XK150

Hi All....So sold the E type.....but this came along and had to go for it....Uk car matching numbers xk150se.. 3.4 manual o/d.....new engine rebuild....older restoration body/paint. ...all original interior. ....quite an unusual rare colour.....dont think its something you would pick by choice but i think it does look nice...Lavender Gray

It was an XK150 coupe that got me interested in classics (or old cars as they were at the time). I used to see this guy restoring one of these on my way to and from school in the mid seventies. It puzzled me at first because I thought it was a Mark 2 that didn't look quite right until I understood what it actually was. The guy used to drive it too!

He replaced it with a 356 coupe. Or it might have been the other way around. Well, it was 40 odd years ago

Steve : I'm most interested in the colour - I had thought from the pics that it was Ascot Fawn - in itself not a colour I'd ever seen on a 150 - was this a standard colour or was it a one-off, as you could special order any colour you liked ( for a premium of course ! )

Ascot Fawn or Lavender Grey I’d accept but the DVLA say it’s brown which is an insult

Iv been asked by a few to give a comparison with the E type.....but your not going to be pleased...Its a far more thrilling exciting drive....with a huge grin factor totally knocking the spots of an E type.....I suggest you should all buy one..... ...me thinks the prices should now shoot up .....oh and we can start an Xk forum
