S1 horn location

Hi. Where should the horns be fitted on a 1965 built but registered 66 car .On the bottom of the picture frame or on the bonnet .Also should the wiring loom from the rear come down one side and join with a block at the rear. Its a bit confusing as it came with both side looms and the joining block.

The horns are fixed with a bracket bolted to the picture frame on either side......................

For my series 1.5 car, I think two wires from the loom come to LH side cconnector. then a single wire to each horn. The horn has its second connection via a short link to earth on ethe mounting bracket

Some 1965 cars had the horns in the bonnet .

My May 65 build has the horns mounted on the underside of picture frame.

My early 65 car (sorry, don't remember the month of build-March?) has the horns in the bonnet.

I have now fitted them on to the picture frame as the feed to the horns is not in the loom to the bonnet . Problem solved .
