#1 Brake light pressure switch position

Post by Peezee » Fri Feb 11, 2022 10:49 am

Hi All,
I have contacted Autosparks to make a new wiring harness for my car. (S1 2+2 1E50739) A minor concern is the only harness plans they have are for a harness with the brake pressure switch position on the lower left picture frame but they have kindly offered to help. They acknowledge having read on posts that some cars around mine had the switch located on the lower left firewall and have asked for and I have sent a photo of my original harness. Have others encountered this and any suggestions?
Thanks again,
Peter.

Thanks Steve,
Same problem with a car built around that time. I'll let you know how Autosparks reply. They appear to want to help.
Thanks Peter

Peter, you might like to consider adding a mechanical brake light switch as explained here:

A popular and well thought of upgrade.

Thanks Geoff
It appears others have had problems with the standard pressure switch. Never knew the Series 3's changed to an electric switch and it's probably worth doing. Thanks again.
