My 65 S1 is going to be painted in the next couple of weeks 8)

Anyone happen to know the colour code for Jaguar Dark Blue as seen in 65?

Vipergts, the following paint codes have been taken from various sources. These codes will provide you some basic information about what paint code may have been used by a paint manufacturer at some time. As you can see the first two definitely show the year you refer to (1965) please use these codes only as a guide, use some other process to corroborate the accuracy of the colour. is the colour simply called dark Blue or is it Indigo Blue? I have seen Indigo Blue on an E and its a superb colour.

They are two different colours. Used at for somewhat different years (but there may have been overlap, don't remember).

I think Indigo Blue is 'bluer' and Dark Blue has more black in it. I've had E-types in both but not side by side.

Indigo is the early colour.........can be seen on the early o/c car Harry is restoring and Dark blue as already mentioned is darker and deeper.

I love these colours right now.......they are so right with the red leather. Fortunately for me this is the original combo for mine.
