Rev counter checking
#1 Rev counter checking
As I had doubts about the reliability of my rev counter, I compared it with that of my MK2. I plugged in a precise DC stabilized power supply in place of the camshaft generators and increased the voltage in 1 volt increments. Here are the results which will also allow you to check the proper functioning of your rev counters. Everything seems correct to me on the side of my instrument ... now I have to look elsewhere why the displayed speed never exceeds 3000 rpm.

That's what I thought at the start already, that's why I took it apart and saw that the bronze bearing had sunk all the way. I

#5 Re: Rev counter checking
both have the same defect as mine had: the bronze bearing is no longer crimped and has moved backwards. So either the mechanical drive is no longer done or the magnetic induction in the coil is disturbed.
And they have the nerve to sell defective parts at a very high price.
