Boris, bien venue to the place for all things E Type. Lots of help and information, both in the technical knowledge section and by asking questions. The search function is very useful too.
Please add your name and car type to your signature, click on your user name, top right, to do that. It makes it easier for people to know which model you have and answer appropriately.

Make sure you buy the full workshop manual and you can download pages from the technical section to print out for use in the workshop. There are several very good books listed giving full restoration projects to learn from. Many can be bought from Amazon as well as other sellers.

We also have quite a few people in France and Belgium who can answer questions in French should you get stuck for the best words. SNG Barratt are one of the major suppliers, they have an office in France and membership of clubs like the JEC or JDC can give you discount prices with them and other companies.

Bonne chance and don’t apologise for your poor English, as I have used up all my poor French in this reply

Bienvenue Boris
An early FHC, not that common!
Good luck in your restoration, hopefully in gunmetal/red, a nice set of colours.

Salut Boris !

nice to see another fool in my area! As we see in France "plus on est de fous plus on rit".
I am in Occitanie, not far from south west of France maybe. So if we have the opportunity to meet, don't hesitate. We could share our experience, but as for me it would be the more or less bad lessons learnt. I have not enough skills to advise you what to do. What not to do, maybe?

Boris, bienvenue à bord ! :welcomewave:
Looking forward to reading your project progress, and hoping to contribute to the exchange that will develop here.
Where in the south-west are you located ? Might be along one of the coming trips.

Boris, it would be more appropriate to open your restoration in the “Restoration Stories and Owners Gallery” section. Why not read what others have done, it might give you help with your project and then your own story can be added. We all learn from each other and enjoy hearing how someone approaches their restoration and the joy we share with the owner when the car is fully on the road.

Good luck
