On my car, and on my not entirely pooltable straight garage floor, when opening the bonnet max to be able to work, one bumper horn sometimes just touches the floor. The other side has 1-2mm free space. Within tolerances I guess. I can of course adjust bumpers a bit, but they sit in the same angle as far as the eye can see, it looks right.
So I should maybe limit the bonnet opening. Is there a recommended minimum clearance to the ground when fully open? I would think 10-20mm would be safe? One would still have to think every time one opens it when parked elsewhere...
Official numbers? Experience on what works?

Have a look here:

I had a difference of a couple cms between left and right.
Bumpers look correct.
I believe it's due to the height difference (sagging TB's) between left and right side of the car as also shown.

When doing the vertical bonnet move with the ramps I have, the overriders will contact the floor just as the bonnet gets to slightly over center, so I use a folded moving blanket to protect the chrome. This allows the bonnet to sit solidly on the overriders giving it a very secure position while I muck about with the project of the moment.

There is a limited adjustment range to the cantilever brackets which attach to the bonnet airduct and lower valance. Sliding them higher up, ie to the lower end of the slotted holes, will raise the overrider clearance off the floor. Even then it may not be sufficient, as with mine. I suspect it's the inaccurate after market brackets which I have. To counter this I glued a U shaped rubber lining over the lower edge of the overriders.
