#1 Jaguar rebranding and Design Vision jaGuar Type 00

Post by 44DHR » Sun Dec 08, 2024 10:44 am

The recent Jaguar rebranding and reveal of the Jaguar Type 00 has been widely debated and covered well within Heuer’s post, “I was wrong about repro spinners !”, with 62 responses to date on the various issues raised.
There is a well balanced article on the BBC website today which gives a background to these events.

This rebrand will literally be a “make or break” decision for the Jaguar brand and we will all have to wait till 2026 to see the reality of the decision. I just thought in later years people would look back to see what present day Jaguar enthusiasts thought at the time and having a dedicated post would assist their search.

My post on the subject was deliberately vague as I anticipated a 'mixed ' reaction so strived to make the thread difficult to find or be indexed by the search bots which regularly trawl the Forum. We rely on Jaguar's goodwill in allowing us to freely post information without threats of legal action and we do not want to sour that relationship. I have made several sections of the Forum invisible to non-members (and search bots) to hopefully avoid trouble. The 'General' section is not one of them!

So why not transfer this thread in e.g. the Pub Chat?

Personally I see these kind of weird car designs all the time I’m having Chem-Sex, so I can’t see what all the fuss is about.
