Beware Ebay cost

I agree Ebay is losing it, probably as a result of behind the scenes Govt intervention to recoup lost tax . The amount of control Ebay want to exert over the deals is becoming totalitarian.

All that is required is a straight forward classified ads website where you pay for the advert and contact the seller directly. Like the good old days. Anyone able to recommend a decent one where they dont also want to steal your security information?

FB Marketplace browsing requires an unacceptable level of security risk, (You have to log in for a start!) I do not trust them one bit, so it is no go for me.

I sell a few bits on Ebay, often overseas - now I don't receive any payment until the item is flagged as received by the buyer. That means a wait that will often be a couple of weeks or more. The difficulty is that it remains the platform that is most appropriate for car related items, and seems to still attract the widest audience. Of course, this may change over time.
