remove the sun visor from the rod?

Hi
How do I remove the sun visor from the rod on an 3.8l?
Is the end button just pressed on or is it screwed?
I shall help a friend with that and dont want to destroid it.

There were two styles of visor on the 3.8 FHC, one rectangular with chrome edging, the other plain trapezoidal. Both styles were attached to the same type of chrome bracket with a separate push in chrome head at the other end.
